Bad internet connection

hey i built my desktop gaming pc a couple of days ago but i have unstable network connection. I am using a cable to the router. The router is a Asus AC87U and the motherboard i have is a asus z170-a. I have installed all the drivers i need except graphics drivers (working on it now). Sometimes the internet work's, and when it worked i took a speedtest and it was only 10 gb/s down and up. I am having 100 mb/s down and up on my laptop with the same cable. When it does not work there is a yellow triangle with a black exclamation mark, and it says no internet accsess. Sometimes there is even a red sircle with a white cross. What do i do?

Try reseting your router!
And, it seems your LAN port might need scrubbing... Clean it.

10Gb/S???????? Or 10mb/s?

You mean by pressing that reset button? I am not shure what you mean Sorry, i meant 10 mb/s 😀

Yeah, reset by pressing the reset, or disconnect power for 5 mins.

How is the router connected to your pc? Ethernet, or wireless?

Ok, you might need new drivers for the Mobo Ethernet. Uninstall old one, and get new one. Also, did you try the router?

I tried with another ethernet cable and it worked perfectly. I tried to test the speed on speedtest.net and i 1ms ping and i got 300mb/s down and up 😀
