Bad internet downstairs

Hi i bought my internet at my grandparents house whilst the downstairs was being remade. Now it's fully finished and everyone is only downstairs whilst the Internet is like 0.3MB and 500ping when it's 7MB 9 ping upstairs. I can't change the router nor provider as I only come here in the holidays. I would buy an extender but it's difficult as it's in the holidays and I'm in a different county. I put the router on the floor but title didn't help as the floor is literally like concrete upstairs. Any help?

Passing through concrete will be tough, and with (relatively) poor internet to being with, it's going to be even worse after the obstruction.

Powerline, repeaters/extenders or bridges are an option, but will still reduce from the speeds you're seeing upstairs.

Honestly, the best option would be to contact the provider. They should have options available to you, included as part of their plan (at the end of the day, they should accommodate your reasonable needs, so their service can actually be used). If not, I'd explore alternative providers.
