I'm getting really bad rubberbanding in online games, but only when I am playing multiplayer. It only happens on one computer, my other computer gets a slight amount of lag but nothing nearly as bad. The rest of the internet works fine for streaming etc. It was fine until just a few days ago.

I've tried rebooting the router and modem a few times with no success. It is wireless although it's been wireless for years and there hasn't been a problem until recently. I've tried both 2.4 and 5 and they both have the problem. My adapter has trouble connecting to 5ghz even if i tell it to. What do you mean by network card?

Network card as in your wireless adapter. Or is this a laptop? If it's a USB or PCI adapter, try it in another system and see if it works better. Also check the signal strength and speed.

Were they in the same room? Maybe try moving the adapter to a different USB port or moving it around with a USB extender cable. Update the drivers for it if they were newer. I just got one to replace my son's adapter, he had a good N300 adapter with a good antenna, but had a 30ms ping to google.com, I replaced it with another model and the ping went to 20ms. I got this one: Rosewill RNX-N600UB - Dual Band Wireless N600

Was pretty cheap and dropped his ping 30%.

I've tried different ports as well as with and without and extender cable. Windows says it has the most up to date driver. I'll be going back to college soon so maybe it will fix itself when I'm gone.
