Bad Memory - Direct Airflow?

I recently built a tr4 based workstation and its performance to date has been lackluster... As I was fiddling around in After Effects today I reconfigured its RAM settings (specifically how much RAM it accesses) and shortly after I got a BSOD pointing to win32kfull.sys. After researching this I found a possible cause could be bad RAM... My kit (Corsair Vengence LPX 128gb for x399) comes with two fans for it... From what I've read it seems the consensus is that they are a marketing ploy, however I wonder if they would make a difference. I've currently got XMP set to 2933. Is the RAM overheating? Should I slap on the fans?

Solution
Unless ram is highly overclocked, it does not get hot enough to need any heat spreaders at all.
I really doubt you would get any value from the ram coolers, but I suppose it could not hurt to try.

To test ram, run memtest86+
If you can complete a couple of full passes, with NO errors, the ram is good.
