I just got a BFG 6800 GT 4 weeks ago, and i've been playing games like Halo, UT, and Far Cry. But Every time i OC the card past 375(370 is stock oc for it) then i get artifacts in Far Cry, like lighting issues, and some wierd texturing on guns, but it doesn't do it in any other games. Is it just Far Cry that has glitchy codeing and the oc exposes the issues more or did i get a dud overclocker? Is there anything that would cause that? or anything i can do to get better results? It seems strange that i would get such a dud when i have seen nothing but good results with overclocking the BFG cards.

Just a thought, maybe it's not a problem with your vid card. What if Far Cry is like Doom 3 in that it uses transisters on your vid card that other games don't.

Already, I have read some posts which confirm what Carmack said. Good OC's are having to be rolled back to eliminate artifacts in D3.

Thx, i suppose you are probably right, the more powerful the videocards get, the more complex they get as well as the games, and the more of the available power the games use.
