don't understand. In Italy banks doesn't allow to have and use a Credit card (Visa or Mastercard or others) if the owner doesnt have enough money or if he is not covered by other financial systems.
In few words, if I have a credit card and its number and expiration date is correct (and mine is correct u can verify that quickly) my credit card is valid (here is not like in the Usa where also children have credit cards).
If u want to verify my credit card i should contact VISA.
If there are other reasons to not ship immediately the item i ordered, please tell me quickly, in this case i will cancel the order.

I know what you mean - but unfortunately it is not that simple. There is A LOT of fraud on the internet, so it is our policy to contact VISA to verify that the card and address details are correct. This is to avoid sending products to customers using stolen cards.
As it happens we have just heard back from VISA in Italy with the following message "Declined". I would ask you to please contact your bank or VISA to find out what the problem is. I look forward to hearing from you.

I phoned to my bank and they don't know a way to solve that "hypothetic" problem, because my card is valid, and they did'nt received any request of verify from you.
Everytime i use to buy something using Visa on the internet the transaction is secured, because a real time system (in associaton with a bank and in the moment i agree 4 the payment) verify the details of my credit card. If the card has problems (it could happen as u say in case of stolen cards) I'm not allowed to proceed the order, I'm refused automatically.
Maybe your is like a "manual" or "after agreed" verify system that requires time, but in this case me and my bank don't know how to help u.
In few words, is a problem (if there is a problem) of you and Visa that should verify for you the consinstency of my card. Me and my bank can't do more.
After i called Visa help center and they said i can't personally talk with an operator, only my personal bank can do this....BUT ONLY in the case the card is not valid, and in this case the card has been verified by my own bank.
If u think the problem can't be solved easily (i don't want to compile online a second time the order putting the same information) please erase my order and all information about my credit card from your database.
In each case on monday i will go to my bank to verify the problem.
Let me know as soon u have other infos.

I will request authorisation from the bank once again. I have no idea why VISA in Italy are doing this. These problems happens with VISA in Italy all the time and not with any other country. I can assure you that our bank has requested authorisation from VISA and they were not given any reason why it was declined.
We will try this again today, hopefully VISA will reply to the enquiry asap.
FYI - other systems the verify the payment immediately merely verify that there is money in the card. Due to the amount of fraud we do name+address checks on all orders over a certain amount.

The way our online ordering systems works the stock level only updates once payment for an order has been received - therefore the item is in stock, but is only 100% allocated to your order when the payment has been confirmed.

I do not know what I can do in this case - we have received notification from our bank twice that VISA Italy has declined this order. I do not know why - and for security reasons I am not able to find out why. As I explained to you already there is a lot of fraud on the internet and we are very careful not to ship orders that have been declined by the bank. I am sure you understand the reason.
I will cancel your order now as per your request. I was holding a module for you but I will release this straight away, due to the problem getting authorisation on your card.
Just for information - these problems happen a lot in Italy. I have no explanation why this is happening, but the main thing for our company is the ensure that we do not ship orders that have been declined by the bank.

I have just gone to my own bank (Banca Intesa) and an operator talked personally with a Visa operator after checked again my card is full operating.
Ja*** u know (or u don't know?) Visa collect the log of ALL authorizations asked and eventually declined. In my case Visa doesn't report ANY authorization called or declined by your company on 17th September (date of the order) or in the following days.
Now my bank will check periodically eventual financial movements from your company or "similar".
So, I don't know what is your policy, but i know only one thing, U have my card details on your database, U don't have the item i ordered in stock, U didn't offer me another item in change of that i ordered, now U have my order erased (or u wanted it?....)
The minimum I can do is report this to Geilusa.com (and i don't need Vice President details as i can find easily contacts)
Nothing against u pesonally, tnx 4 many mails u replied to me, but your company's policy is not right. U publicized an item i ordered U really don't have, so at the moment the fraud is your.
