Hi guys, I recently got a 4090. But the performance on a few games such as new world, warzone 2 etc is awful. On new world im getting around 45FPS and warzone 2 I get around 100FPS on mainly low settings. It's driving me insane and I'm hoping some very smart people can help me out here. My system - Asus B450f-gaming MB, 5800x, 32GB of ddr4 3600mhz RAM, RTX 4090, 1TB m.2 storage and a NZXT Kraken Aio cooler.

Ok, I'm going to ask some basic questions that may seem dumb but I just want to cover all basis.

-Newest drivers installed?
-Correctly connected to PSU?

Using a program such as HWmonitor, what GPU usage are you seeing while gaming? Max temps?
Yes the latest drivers are installed.
As far as im aware everything is connected properly.

GPU usage is around 47%
Temps 40 degrees C

Better. I would look into using DDU as stated above, it's pretty helpful, sometimes. Also look into "render worker count" for warzone 2. Sometimes playing around with that can help.

Although warzone is odd, between low and high settings ive noticed only around 20-30 fps difference.

So I have literally tried everything that has been suggested in this post. Thanks for trying guy but I’m still only getting really low fps. Could it be my 5800x is holding the card back that much ?

Not at all. So you made sure RAM is installed in slots a2-b2? You made sure to reset BIOS to default settings? You enabled PBO? You enabled D.O.C.P?

Run UB again and link the results.
