Please keep it to 1 thread.
Hello friends. I installed EA FIFA 23 game last week, but while most of the time the game runs up to 100 frames, sometimes it drops below 20 frames. I ran this game on the lowest settings at 1080p but I'm not happy.
This is my computer system:
CPU: i7 3770 3.4GHZ
RAM: 16GB DDR 3 Geil 1600MHZ
GPU: Gigabyte RX 580 8GB
SSD: Western Digital Green 240GB
MB: ASUS P8 H61 M LX3 Plus
PSU: Green 500W

I wanted to know what is the reason for this frame drop?
Is there a solution to fix this frame loss?

Partly to do with the specs you have to work with. I also noticed that oddity in your PSU.

PSU: Green 500W
How old is the unit?
I know this brand may be unknown to you. But this power brand has been operating in my country for years and has been reliable

I bought this power supply like other computer system parts about a year ago.

This is the model of this power:

Green GP500A-ECO

Economic Series 80 Plus

I have played more than 15 games with this computer with high settings in 60 frames during this one year ago and I did not have a problem like FIFA 23.
How do you think I can fix the frame drop problem in this game?

A few days ago, I installed FIFA 23, but when I run this game, the performance of the graphics card is not satisfactory in the lowest details of the game in 1080p!
When playing the game during the football match, the game frame is more than 80 fps. But when showing the fans closely and when showing the slow scene of the match and the celebration after the goal, the frame of the game drops below 20 fps!
Does anyone know why this horrible performance drop is happening?

I would install MSI Afterburner and enable the on-screen display to show CPU and GPU usage and temps. I would imagine one of them is being fully utilized and limiting your performance.
I installed the MSI Afterburner software and while playing FIFA, CPU and GPU monitoring activity information was recorded like this for an hour.
During the FIFA game in the competition in the middle of the field, the frame of the game was between 100 and 120 frames, and during the slow animations of the game and the celebration after the goal, the frame of the game dropped below 20 frames.
CPU was at 70-75% activity during most of the game
CPU temperature was between 65 and 70 degrees Celsius
GPU was in 100% activity mode during most of the race
GPU. temperature was around 65 to 70 degrees Celsius
In your opinion, the reason for the game frame drop was the graphics card activity at 100%?

I would say so.

I would say the reason for the dropped frames is the low performance of the CPU. I experienced similar issues with my system before I upgraded from an i5 3570k in various games.

This is what is listed as requirements for the game:
Processor
Hardware that processes all system operations. It is the heart of your computer, and directly determines the raw speed of your system.

Minimum (AMD): Ryzen 5 1600 or Equivalent
Minimum (Intel): Core i5-6600k or Equivalent
Recommended (AMD): Ryzen 7 2700X or Equivalent
Recommended (Intel): Core i7-6700 or Equivalent

I check the hardware system requirements before installing any game and I have already checked the system requirements of FIFA 23.
According to the announcement of the FIFA system, my graphics card should be able to run the game well on the minimum settings, and the CPU of the computer, according to my research and search through the Internet, is about i5 6600k in terms of processing ability. However, I agree that my system hardware is old and I shouldn't expect too much from it.

Thank you for your reply.
And because I currently do not have the possibility to upgrade the computer hardware due to financial limitations.
As a final question, how can I get better performance from the current hardware without upgrading the processor or graphics card.
Is it possible to improve the performance of my computer in this game or other games by software and without upgrading the hardware?

You could try a fresh install of Windows, it may not make any difference but it won't cost money only time.

Your under the required specks on the CPU.
The 6600K is 20% faster single core and 25% on dual core.

Under is under.

Now, based on your advice, I am sure that the old 3rd generation Intel processor and AMD graphics card have caused problems to play FIFA 23.
Of course, when I bought this system, I set myself up for this limitation.
I expected this system to run 2015-2020 games at low to medium settings, and for the most part it performed well. Looks like I'll still have to try the older version of the games until I buy the new generation system.
Thanks for your help guys.

Did you check the per core usage? You can enable to show usage for each CPU core in Afterburner.
