[SOLVED] Bad performance with cpu and graphics card

i have a gaming pc my specs are
i7 7700k
16gb ram
gtx 1080ti
and i have poor performance with games like i get 40 fps in watch dogs 2 and 35 at final fantasy xv

Yikes so yea something is seriously wrong as you should easily be over 100 FPS. If you could, please list your other specs including PSU.

Now it's time for me to ask a few questions...

Is the monitor hooked up to the motherboard or the 1080 ti?

yeah so temps are at the 70-85 c
and my full specs are
i7 7700k
corsair hydro 110i liquid cooling
msi gaming pro carbon z270
16gb ddr4
psu 850w fsp
samsung 960 evo ssd for os

Well I'm officially out of ideas, your system is connected correctly, newest drivers with correct CPU/GPU usage. I would expect those FPS at 4K or a similar resolution however at 1080P this shouldn't be happening. At this point I'd use the free versions of Bitdefender & Malwarebytes to fully scan the system.

just did a benchmark i used superposition and my score is 5942 is that ok?
