Usually when you have bad prints, it's because of either a problem with the print settings, cartridges, or the actual thing you are printing. White lines are almost always caused by dirty or misaligned printheads. Make sure you run a nozzle alignment/check and see if that helps. Also, just because a print cartridge is fairly new doesn't mean it won't get dirty and the jets get crusty. Off colors can be caused by low ink levels. Check your print settings. It should be set for the best quality "photo" output. Test pages usually aren't a super-accurate representation of the print output you want. It's just that: a test.
