Bad PSU or Bad SSD?

Sorry this is lengthy, but the more details I can provide the better I believe people can help.

Loaded a game yesterday and the screen pixilated and the display shut off. PC was still running since I was still getting feedback through the controllers. I rebooted and loaded the game through my VR Headset and the system froze completely.

It has been a while since I played so I decided my device drivers may be outdated and updated them. The reboot after the system freeze the display defaulted to 1024x768 and it appeared there were no video card drivers at all. As part of the driver update it prompted a reboot. On the reboot I got an error on the monitor that said "out of range" not "no signal."

I couldn't get my display back for anything after that until I did a clear cmos on my motherboard. Now windows won't load. I've taken all peripherals off except the keyboard and mouse. I've taken out my video card. I've booted and the very first time it gave me an error about windows not starting right and gave me 2 options one of which was a reboot. I don't know what the other one was but I don't believe it was safe mode. That option has never returned. I can get in to the bios no problem. However, when I boot after about 5 seconds of a windows logo and a loading icon the screen goes to no signal.

It has been suggested my issue is PSU related. I doubt this is the case, but I'm open to the possibility. The PSU is the newest piece of hardware in that system and is a fully modular 750W Corsair and I've made sure all the connections are secure to it and to the SSD and motherboard. The other possibility would be that my SSD is dying. It's possible. It's 4 years old, but given the initial symptoms they didn't scream SSD to me.

Anyhow I'm at a loss for what to do to troubleshoot. I don't have another hard drive i can plug in. I don't have another power supply I can test. I'm open to ideas on how to further diagnose my issue from here.
