I put everything together and it booted up fine. I installed Windows 10 from the Media Creation Tool, updated the BIOS, checked for windows updates, and then started updating the drivers. Once I updated the latest display driver, I started getting a BSOD error with "atikmpag.sys" TDR as the code. I wasn't sure why that was happening so I uninstalled all the drivers and tried reinstalling them. Same thing. I started reading around online and saw people saying that it could be a RAM issue. I decided to test this. I ran memtest with both sticks in the motherboard (motherboard only has 2 slots) and the test found no errors, but the BSOD still occurred. I decided to try to boot up the PC with only 1 stick of RAM. The first stick I tested worked in both of the motherboard slots. It loaded up fine with the new display driver, and even launched games without a problem (even though running games on just 4GB is an awful experience). I then tried the other stick and it has the same result in both motherboard slots: The computer would turn on, fans running, but the display wouldn't turn on, nor would the mouse and keyboard. I checked my motherboards RAM compatibility and the RAM I have is not listed. So... I'm stuck with this decision. Obviously I believe the one RAM stick is faulty. Do I reorder the same RAM, hoping to get 2 that work? Or do I get different RAM that is for sure compatible. I'd like to get the same RAM... if it worked with one RAM stick shouldn't it work with 2 if the second one isn't faulty, even if it isn't on the compatibility list?

Sorry that was alot to type. I just want to get this thing working!

TLDR: I have 2 RAM sticks. The PC will boot up and run normally with one of the sticks (in both slots) but the other one won't (no matter which slot). The RAM I'm using isn't on the motherboard compatibility list, so should I try to order the same RAM package, hoping to get 2 good sticks? Or order different RAM I know for sure is compatible?

with 16-18-18 timings im guessing your RAM does'nt have samsung B dies. So I would recommend you replace you RAM with a brand that use samsung B-dies. Gskill seems popular but anything with 3200 CL14 should be samsung B-dies.

Your system running fine installing windows with two sticks, but now it will not boot with only one stick seems weird. 2400G needs the chipset and GPU drivers installed in the right order, I had trouble with this when I made my 2400G build. So maybe download ati/nvida driver removal tool, and reinstall in the recommended order. This fixed my issues.

If you system wont boot with one of the sticks, while the other stick works, it seems very likely that something is wrong with the stick that doesn't boot. Are you...
