Question Bad ram slot?

Hello everyone,

I just got my 2nd x570 phantom itx from Newegg after returning the original one due to the m.2 slot not working. I tried both my ram sticks on the slot closest to the cpu and the pc does post. But when I have a stick on the other slot I get no post and high fans. The rgb light for the ram sticks does come on in the bad slot.

things I have tried,

• update to latest bios 1.72
• tried both ram sticks on the bad slot no post.

Specs -

Amd Ryzen 3600
Corsair vengeance ddr4 3200
Asrock phantom itx x570

Can you reflash the BIOS with version 1.72? Remove the CMOS battery after the update is successful, for 15 mins before replacing it. Which BIOS version did the board come with out of the box?

It had 1.60 before I flashed it, I will try what you mentioned when I get home from work.
