Bad response time?

I have a pretty decent 200$ monitor with supposedly 1ms response time bat when I play a game it says my response time is 16 Ms which is terrible considering I'm a gamer.Is the game hub broken or it's just a bad monitor? I have a Samsung 1 Ms monitor

Are you sure that is not your ping... And 1ms compared to 16ms isn't really that much.. That is milliseconds we are talking about.

The game has no way to determine the response tims of the monitor. I think you're talking about ping or some other form of latency (delay), which has nothing to do with response time.

Also, 16 ms is a very short amount of time.
