Question bad ryzen?

Hi everyone, games like Control and RDR2 are crashing with my ryzen 3600. I have concluded that the problems to my crashing for my system was mainly the CPU. I swapped my ryzen 3600 with a ryzen 2700x. Control ran normally with no adjustments but RDR2 ran normally when the RAM speed was set to 3000MHz. I don't know if it is a motherboard compatibility issue or the cpu itself.
help would be appreciated thanks.

Ryzen 5 3600
B450 Aorus Pro WiFi rev. 1.0
MSI RTX 2070
2x8Gb 3600Mhz Corsair Vengeance (E Die)
Inland Premium 1tb SSD
Masterwatt 650w

Did you do a BIOS update before you installed your new CPU?

no, but my current bios is F42f

That should be OK. The 3600 has a minimum F40 BIOS for support.
Did you do a BIOS reset after installing the new CPU?

Yes, the BIOS was reset but to be honest the 3600 at one point used to work on Control.
