Hey guys, bought a Samsung 850 Pro, 128 Gb version start of December... was working fine until the other day, I got a notice from Samsung Magician about Firmware upgrade... tried to install it but it said install failed. Drive was working fine after that but when I restarted I got BSOD kernel_data_inpage_error...?

I've tried so far...

    Recovery mode, repair... not happening

Tried using windows install usb to reformat drive, drive isnt shown

Diskpart, list volume... the recovery partition seems to be there (on the C drive), but the actual C drive isn't?

Checked BIOS, the drive is there in BIOS but the serial number and name is all scrambled...

reinstalled windows on my 840 evo I was using for my games etc.

So this is where Im at... does anybody have any idea whats went wrong, or if its fixable... or should i just return it?

got it from Dabs.com on December 4th, just few month back...

any help woulf be appretiated

Solution
There was an issue with the FW update when updated through Magician. The Dos version seems to not have the issue. Samsung removed the update from both the website and Magician and they made an RMA for my unit.
plugged the drive in and run windows from second drive, this is picture of the device details...
