Greetings,
I wish to have a problem resolved that has been haunting me for a while now,
i have a computer with the ASUS PBZ77-M motherboard, it has 6 SATA slots,
i have a problem connecting multiple drives with the motherboard,
A single drive can work in any of the six slots, yet when I add another drive, It shows (detected) in the BIOS but not in Windows 10 (Disk Management/Device Manager)
Apparently, two drives work well only if I connect to SATA 2 and SATA 5 (As in detected in Windows) and not any other way around.
Three drives can be connected if I connect them to SATA 2, SATA 5 and then SATA 4. There is no other way to make 3 drives work.
Four drives are not possible, as 3,1,6 are the remaining slots after using 2,5,4 for three drives but neither of the 3 (3,1,6) slots work with the fourth drive.
What could this be? All slots are fine as in a single drive can work with any of the 6 slots, but using them simultaneously presents malfunction?
It doesn't depend on the type of drive connected, results stay the same whether an SSD or an HDD.
I will be grateful for your help.
