Bad Sector and Logging IN

Would a bad sector on a hard drive cause Windows to log me in with temporary profile? In Event viewer I have this "\Device\Harddisk0\DR0, has a bad block"

Possibly yes if bad block/sector is in wrong place.

I ran a chkdsk, Windows replaced bad cluster, on restart log in worked, Thanks.
