Can you show screenshot from Hdtune health?Hi so im using my old hdd. And i just found out that it has 2 bad sector?
Btw i remember that this 2 bad sector was last year.but still its 2. Same number no adding. That drive is in the act of failing. It only gets worse from here and there is no way to know when it will go full fail and take your data with it. Back up your data and replace the drive.
ill post it tomorrow cause my pc is off. Its evening now XD. After i wake up i will open my pc immediately to show you. Btw i used hdd sentinel on testing. Can you show screenshot from Hdtune health?
(upload to imgur.com and post link)
In normal use bad sectors are invisible to the user. The drive controller automatically maps them out and replaces with a sector in the spare area. When the bad sectors become visible it is an indication that the spare sector map is full and the drive can no longer map them out. It will only get worse as time goes on. It might even remain at 2 right up to the point of total failure. But, it's your data at risk so no skin off anyones back.Btw i remember that this 2 bad sector was last year.but still its 2. Same number no adding.
Heres the link View: https://imgur.com/a/ebkKEKvSoft bad blocks are possible too. When windows marks file system block as bad, but that was due to something else than physically damaged sector.
I asked for HDtune screenshot.Heres the link

Thank you so much btw can you send me link on how to do it? Im noob sorryOk.
2 pending sectors is not critical. But they need to be resolved.
Resolving is done by overwriting. After that pending status gets cleared and depending on overwrite result sector is considered fine or gets relocated.
You can resolve pending sectors with mhdd (scan with relocate).
Probably victoria can do it too.
Last question if i didnt resolved this problem ( just like doing nothing)will it be more damage? Or increase the bad sector?Try victoria first.

Select drive,
switch to tests,
check remap option and
run scan.
Here's, how to do that with mhdd. It's a bit more complicated. Post #17.

Okay thank you verymuchNope. Doing nothing doesn't increase damage.
