Question Bad Sector removal/isolation

Hi friends,
I have an Western Digital external HDD that has some bad sectors. It is formatted and empty now. What I would like to do is to isolate the bad sectors, so that in future data is not written on them.
Can anyone suggest a FREE TOOL for this.

If it has developed bad sectors since you bought it then it’s going to die. Windows chkdsk command can scan and fix. But it will continue to die
