I am BRAND new in the use of Linux.I have a drive (460 GB Volume)name, with bad sectors that need to be bypassed. The drive directory is: /media/mint/01D1AeA6AD658210 What would the command line entry to scan, repair if possible or block the bad sectors? Just getting my feet wet and find this all new.

If bad blocks have become visible then that drive is failing fast. Do not attempt to use it, replace it immediately. However, if all that is wrong is some file system corruption then as stated above the fsck utility will scan and repair, unless (God forbid) you're running reiserfs, in which case fsck has been known to completely trash the filesystem.
