Question Bad sectors - lenovo thinkpad

hello.

I have bad sectors on the HDD. I started the check and recover bad sectors tool in lenovo diagnosis and in the first couple of hours it didn't show any results, but later when it started showing errors the scan became too slow. Its been on 76% since about 18 hours. It keeps showing more errors (I'm not sure if it is fixing them?) But it is very slow and I dont know for how long it will stay like this? Is there any hope from this? I don't mind leaving the laptop on but if there is no hope so I shut it down.

That drive is failing/failed. You don't repair bad sectors, you replace the drive. It only gets worse. Back up as much data as you can and toss that drive.
