Bad sensor readings CPU?

question, i installed my new motherboard and old CPU,flashed/updated the BIOS as well to the latest version available. i use the asrock AXTU program sometimes as well for fan controll, and have noticed the cpu is quite "hotter" from the readings then core temp and even CPUID hardware monitor. bot core temp and CPUID both read around 73F while axtu reads near 90F. this is with minimal load 5% or so, pretty much system is idle. screenshot of all 3 programs running,link below. should i just go by the readings off core temp and not worry about it? seeing as maybe axtu is reading off the socket,giving higher temps? thanks for any help!
PS-on my old system with an old narra5 HP motherboard, it always ran around 75F max at idle with 70F room temp.

You may need more time for the thermal paste to break in. All of the temperatures look really good, though. Have you tried going into the BIOS and reading the temperatures from there?

heat sink and cpu already had it applyed, its the same combo from my old system

also, just quickly restarted and went into bios HW manager, it says around the same thing as AXTU 40.0-43.0C which is 107F ish. i find that really hard to belive though,unless its reading from the socket. i never messed with the cpu much, not overclocked and all the frequency,clock and multiplier settings are the same as before.

yes, i actually have used that one before as well, and i belive its the same results as core temp. CPU0 is around 24C the only thing i see at 40C "100F+" is my graphics card cpu, which is normal for it.

those temp are good i use a 720x3 and they are nearly the same and your grapic is in the specs

Did you clean CPU and H/S before reinstalling with new thermal paste?
If not it is the reason for higher temps.

no i did not, there was no reason to re apply since it still has it on there,and i dont have extra paste to re-do it. im pretty sure its just bad readings, out of about 5 hardware manager programs i used they all state around 20F lower then the bios and motherboard software. which again leads me to belive that the bios is reading the socket itself and not the cores,as i posted picture links above. i ran prime 95 and AIDA64 for hours on end without any faults or failures due to any overheating issues.

the 720 x3 do you mean a triple core CPU? im really leaning twards the conclusion that the MOBO and BIOS is just reading socket temps, ive checked with many other programs and they all state very normal cpu temp's

ahh okay, it seems the triple core really isnt very much different from my 640 quad core, both the same 95 Watts. i think i should be pretty good with the temperature scenario,been running my system for quite a while and its still around 70-80F while running a few programs.

good one index of 6.7 for cpu and now got 107.6 for cpu and 93.2 for motherboard all at stock speed and factory cooler
