Bad sound after reinstalling windows 7?

So after reinstalling windows 7, I got all of my drivers etc, including my sound drivers, although now I have really bad sound quality, my microphone and my audio, with speakers and a headset. I have tried reinstalling my Realtek hd audio drivers, which I got off the realtek website, but nothing is helping. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I have a dell xps 8300 and I use my on-board sound card.

Might try the Drivers from the Dell site, they may have custom settings involved
