Bad system config info help!

My laptop is stuck in a loop where it keeps giving me the bad system config info error but everytime it tries to repair it only tells me to restart. I had been trying to get the SSD that my laptop is currently using to work on my desktop, the only thing I did was download a Windows 8.1 64 bit LAN Driver for asrock h97m MB. My laptop uses another MB. Sorry if I'm not being helpful but it's late and this is really bugging me. I have tried all the repair options, even resetting the PC but they all failed, did I screw up my SSD?

Sounds like booting the SSD in a completely different system wrecked the OS.

By "resetting the PC" do you mean you did a full reinstallation?

Yeah, I tried a full installation. The thing is that it had actually worked somewhat with the desktop, I just had a issue with the desktop booting from my HDD instead of the SSD. The only steps I did was down the LAN driver for a different motherboard onto the SSD, set UEFI back to default on my desktop, and plug in a USB with Windows 7 but only after I got the error and I wasn't able to install Windows 7 because of a GPT issue. I guess the main issue is that I don't know how I got the error and I can't check because I don't have a repair disk since I had upgraded online.
