I love how after the sale ends actaul rtx 4080 laptop skus appeared. I checked yesterday not 5 minutes after this dropped and you could only get rtx 3070 ti or 3080 ti skus for the listed price with no 4080 option. I would have snagged one if it had been legit. This (4080 laptop for 2g) was click bait.

It was never for a 4090, so I don't see how it was clickbait. The article mentions an RTX 4080 and a discount code saving when you select the particular configurable specs.

Sorry typo meant 4080 but they did add both 4080 and 4090 today which is how I got screwed up sorry...But still there was not an option yesterday for 4080s only 3070Ti's and 3080ti's...So yes clickbait when you advertise 4080 laptops and their were ZERO 4080 (or any 4000 series) options available. Last time I called out advertising on something like this they said well they only had X amount available. This time I caught it right away. They had the price up as listed but not with 4080s and it was up only for around 35 minutes...or what ever time I posted my first post because I tried on multiple devices, browsers etc to make sure it wasn't a bug until they did run out of the $2105 laptops and a different, slightly lower sku model slide in for $1999 at which point I posted and complained. I love Tomshardware that's why I do my best to keep them honest if they mispost/typo something like this. IDK which it was here...I only know there were not 4080 models available yesterday at the listed price/ link or I would have likely got one.

As of now with the coupon code the cost is 2159.99 with an RTX 4080 laptop chip or 2654.99 for the RTX 4090. It is a great deal but my complaint stands that a correction should have been made yesterday as only 3070Ti and 3080ti models were available. Considering purchase...lol.
