I'm setting my Tivo for Midnight Friday Night, as History Channel's
"Mail Call" has a bit about a "2,000 year-old spear thrower," A.K.A. a
Ballista.

Learn something new every day....

My my, doesn't mdmarshall@my-deja.com look good in that trenchcoat:

I'll be very happy if I can still throw a spear when I'm 2,000 years old. I
might need to start taking more vitamins...

mdmarshall@my-deja.com had this idea for a movie:

There are many things that can be learned while playing Diablo:

Debugging that friggin internet connection that keeps disconnecting for the
hell of it
Wonky mouse fixerupperinastics
Spatial relations
The ten times table
Smileys 101
Internet shorthand 101
And let us not forget goat, wombat, hamster, trout and moose handling, and

For things like old armors and weapons, Diablo is a vault of
information. One thing I always have apprecitaed is the fact that they
didn't use the names of items for something other than what they were
in real life. A bastard sword is exactly as it was. The Diablo1 graphic
of a bastard sword is almost dead on with the 15th century one I have
in my case in the cave.
