I'm hoping someone can help me out here with a Banzai Run display problem I
am having....

On the alpha/numeric displays, about 6 segments (diagonal alpha segments)
are out on both left and right displays. Yes, they are the exact same
segments on both displays... I have already replaced both alpha/numeric
displays, the display board itself, and the display driver board... Believe
me, I've shelled out too much money on this problem alread and its still not
working rite!... !!! :)

I can't seem to fix it.. What is wrong here? Someone please help if you
have any ideas of what next to try.. I have not replaced the ribbon cables,
but wouldn't think that would be it. I have swapped them around with the
same missing segments.

Anyone? Please help!
Thanks,
MIKE

PS Does anyone have a Banzai run back glass available? not the top
backglass, but the one that the ball plays behind on the upper playfield.. I
have the plexiglass repro, but don't like the weird glare it gives off....
anyone?

Hi Mike

It is a while since I worked on a System 11 game but as with all repairs
start with the easy things. Change the ribbon cable. Check the voltages
(unlikely to be the problem but incorrect voltages can cause all sorts of
weird problems). Check the manual, but I am sure that the outputs for the
individual segments come from the CPU board first. You may have a dodgy chip
on the mainboard.

Andy.
