I have 10 hard disks in my Windows 8.1 system. In Computer Management / Disk Management, every disk display has a colored bar over the rectangle representing the disk surface; the bar has sections corresponding to the partition scheme of the disk. Nine of the hard disks have a dark blue colored bar, while one (disk 7) has a light green, almost pastel colored bar. There is nothing to distinguish this disk from the others, except possibly that it is a bit older according to the SMART data. Some have MBR partitions and some have GPT, and that does not effect bar color. Does anyone know if the color of the bar has any significance?

Solution
Black = Unallocated
Dark Blue = Primary Partition
Dark green = Extended partition
Light green = free space
Blue = logical drive

you can change the colours, this was where I got above list from - https://www.isunshare.com/windows-10/change-disk-region-color-and-pattern-in-disk-management.html

Free space is the usable space on a Simple Volume created on a Partition. A Simple Volume creates a drive on the Computer. That space can be used and accessed on the PC. Unallocated space is the unused space on the Hard disk which has not been partitioned into a Volume or Drive. That space is not listed under the drives on the PC. For more details about Disk Management refer the article below...
