Barb vs Compression Fittings?

I am considering water cooling my PC but the kit I want comes with barbed fittings and hose clamps. Is this as reliable and safe as compression fittings. I really don't want coolant spewing all over my PC.

Barbs work just fine. I typically secure them with a zip tie that matches my tubing. I have built tons with comp and barb and never had an issue. Leak test before you apply power to your hardware regardless which fittings you use...better safe than sorry.

I prefer hose barbs and hose clamps over compression fittings any day. They're very reliable as long as you clamp them properly.

If you have some extra to spend, use an angled fitting for the cpu block to prevent kinks in the hose.
