"WaveMaker's low code platform enables organizations to deploy applications on public or private cloud infrastructure, and containers can be deployed on top of virtual machines or on bare metal."

What is bare metal? Is it connected to the cloud infrastructure? If it is, how?

Installed directly to hardware. Not virtualize.
Typical OS installs at home are "bare metal". Cloud servers are more typically installed on top of a hypervisor.
Not all cloud providers offer bare metal hosts.

Bare metal refers to a physical server without any virtualization software, basically the raw hardware. [ *** Moderator edit: promotional link to Cloud Certification deleted***], in contrast, uses virtual machines (VMs) on top of physical servers. While separate concepts, bare metal can connect to cloud infrastructure. Cloud providers offer dedicated bare metal servers, or you can create a hybrid cloud combining on-premise bare metal with public cloud resources. The key takeaway is that WaveMaker's flexibility allows deployment on public or private cloud (likely VMs) or even directly on bare metal servers, giving you control over your infrastructure choice.
