hi, I'm looking for a 600w power supply, for around $40 to $50, including shipping. I was looking at this,

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341017

but I don't know if that's a good brand and it also says that it has a maximum output of 600w, so does that mean that it doesn't put out 600w all the time?

Also I was looking at these also:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817148046

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817206010

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817206005

So please give these a look and tell me which one would be the best, and if there are others that you can think of around the same price, let me know and I'll think about it. Thanks.

I aree with never going cheap on a power supply. It's the single most important part of your computer. Thankfully there are a few good choices in your price range.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007657%20600014022&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&CompareItemList=58%7C17%2D182%2D200%5E17%2D182%2D200%2DTS%2C17%2D341%2D018%5E17%2D341%2D018%2DTS%2C17%2D341%2D048%5E17%2D341%2D048%2DTS

Any of these are good quality and fit your budget. Of the 3 I would get the ModXStream Pro. It's a really good deal at that price and is modular.

Edit: I picked the 700w model in my comparison. The 600w model that you orignally linked to was the one I meant to pick.

If you don't mind rebates this(<-link) Corsair CX600 is much better than all of those and comes in just 9.99 over your $50 max.

Because as others have said don't skimp out on the PSU....I used to till the 5th one died on me in the period of about a year(Athlon XP era). I however was fortunate enough to not lose any hardware when they gave up the magic smoke.

Ocz is the only one of the bunch worth buying esp. with it`s rebate.Try to find a Corsair if you can squeeze out a few more bucks, I know it`s not easy, but you get what you pay for.In future try to give brief description of your rig so we know what your requirements are.Best of luck.

The CX series is Corsair's budget line and a step down from any of their other power supplies. The Rosewill and the OCZ are as good or better.
