Barton OCing (2500+ Barton, Fan/HS q)

I'm looking at getting (and OCing) a 2500+ Barton, and I read the Aero fan worked great, but the only place I can find them (newegg), just sells the fan, not the HS. Where/What HS should I get?

I plan on going to about 2Ghz, not 2.2 or 2.3 as a lot of people do, but I do want a good HS on it.


Additionally, what's the diff between a standard 2500+ and a 3000+ Barton aside from cooler and core speed?

I can't find it either & I've been looking for it. Same thing last year with the Silverardo Tom highlighted. Couldn't find it anywhere. Then it turned up on a German site. Never got one of those either. Oh well.

If it ain't broke, take it apart & see why not!

The difference between the stock 2500+ and the 3000+? The 3000+ is faster. It was tested by AMD as faster. It will run programs, games, download porn faster. (well, maybe not the porn part 😉
