barton overclock?????

i got barton 2500+ with a ga7v8x-a motherboared and i can't seem to get my cpu over 2.16 ghz is it safe to touch vcore and by how much
currantly at 166fsp(some reason won't let me change)

I hate Computers! I could only overclock my Barton 2500+ to 2580mhz(vcore 1.65). My Radeon 9700pro core/mem speed won't go above 410/720. I really hate computers!

Try turning down your multiplier and increase your FSB, you get more bandwidth.

Yeah... you can go up to 1.75V without problems and even higher if your cooling is good. I think 1.85V is the highest you want to go.

I love my Delta 60HP 7000 RPM fan that puts out more dB then CFM 😱

i got theremalright ax-7 heatsink. i got one more question with my mobo ga7v8x-a i can't controll actually vecore i can just say plus 5% 7.5% etc and it jumps to 8.x is there anyway i can put a limit? i don't want to hit 8 plus

So you don't want to go abobe 1.8x VCore? Well then you should use a 7.5 % increase as limit as 10% is going to give you a VCore of 1.815 V.
