What do I do when my base is being attacked by amorphous worms?

Any ideas?

Not much you can do except for a few things

1) Get them inside your base so they stop attacking you.
2) hope you have enough colonists so growth rate beats death rate
so that you can maintain a base and gather contra that the wild amorphs
produce ( around 400k will do )
3) Use a Native Dust off device
4) Pop the planet with a glory device

Some extra comments:

Try and Tempt them into your base by buying Spice or having spice
already in your base. Having up to 1000 Spice increases the Odds of
them entering your base.

If you are the EE then you will never success in tempting them into
your base.

Assuming use of own ship designs only

If your the EE or Borg, either abandon the base or keep sending in
replacement colonists. (Borg drones won't gather contra, EE has too
high dark powers to attract Amorphs with spiece)

If your Rebels, use the Falcon's native dustoff

If your Cylons, use the Automat's native dustoff or send your
instrumentlity with the Eye on.

If your Stormers or Centaurs, use a GD ship.

Everyone else, send in 400K colonists to gather up spieces. Mainatign
1K spieces to attract Amorphs at max rate. Send in replacement
colonists if your birth rate is insufficent to maintaign population.

If your allowed to build Public Space Ports, build one on the base as
soon as you have some. (And if you have Amorphs on other nearby bases,
build PSPs there as well) This will work for EE & Borg

you know sometimes when as the EE I have a high enough contra stockpile
( around 2000.. ) the amorphs do join but that was a rare occurence I
guess

Did the Amorphs join or did the planet have a PSP and you just got
lucky? A few times, when I've played the EE, my PSP had a random # of
Amorphs come in and set up shop. So did you attract them, or did they
just show up at a PSP?

nope no PSP.. I did'nt have any other natives so I didnt build any.
