Based on these CPU readings do I need a new PSU?

every 2 minutes when I play games (COD MW2, crysis, TF2 Etc) the game lags on and off no matter what the settings are and no matter what game it is (even really low graphic games like Ragnarok) My comp never used to do this, it would handle these games fine.

3 GB kingston RAM
MSI 9500 GT 512mb
ASUS M2N68-AM SE2 Mobo
AMd Athlon 2X Dual Core 5200+
Running Windows XP

Here's the information I got stright from the BIOS..

CPU Temp: 61'C

MB Temp: 41'C

VCore Voltage: 1.440V

3.3v Voltage: 3.136V

5V Voltage: 4.966V

12V Voltage 11.916V

This is my current PSU, It's more than a year old now..

I don't overclock at all but I also don't have a fan or any cooling system for my PC to keep it cool (I do have a CPU fan though don't want any mixups )

So do I need a new PSU?

Those voltages are fine.Get a powerful card.And remember crysis stutters on every rig.

Yeah but I used to play crysis just fine. This just started happening. It lags in and out in and out no matter what the game is. It's fine for about a minute and then it lags then goes back to normal then lags and so on and it continues this process through any game I play no matter how low the settings or how old the game is. My computer never had this problem.

I just want to be sure, I was gonna get a new graphics card but I've been reading that it might be a CPU or PSU problem.

Did everyone miss the cpu temp in bios. 61*c in bios is pretty hot.
Clean your cpu heatsin with compressed air. Also add a case fan in the front for better air flow. Motherboard temp is a little high for bios readings.

I would suggest two things:

1) Open up your case... Remove EVERYTHING and you'd be surprised at the amount of build up of dust you will find. Take of the heatsink fan and flip it around and prepare to be amazed. Do this for all your parts, barebone the whole system and get a paintbrush, take your time and that should solve the temp problems.

- (I should know... I built a brand new machine around 4 months ago... Just a few days ago I took it out and the dust buildup was insane. After I "thought" I was done I thought I'd remove the GPU/PSU/CPU and DAMN!)

2) A clean installation of an OS never hurts. I would suggest after completing #1 is to reinstall the OS and once again, be amazed at the speed you get in return.

5200+'s and cpu's of that era got hot very easily, and your PSu is underpowered even if it was a good one, its only 300W for crying out loud.

are the value's i get from cpuid hardware monitor.
only wierd i could see on monitoring was that 12V line was pretty unstable, but was all the time over +12 between 12,06 - 12,32 and that both cpu cores are getting pretty high, max was for core 1 71c and core 2 was 69c. all the temps and volts are after playing first part of CoD black ops.

its bothering me for already long time. and like above its with all the games. if i play CoD black ops or the first Call of duty ever i get it. and its not only online but also in single play! even in windows i notice this kind of lagg sometimes!

whould be verry glad if someone could help me out with a answer what it could be.

I say its the PSU but ageing mobo/GPU's can do this as well

wanna share with me why you think its the psu? i think of it myself aswell, but when i look at the stats after playing some CoD i dont see realy disturbing value's.

Myabe it is your hard drive? Fragmentation, or errors.
