Greetings All,
I'm in the process of building my first computer, slowly but surely. I'm sure I've made some mistakes along the way, but wanted any advice to make the final build easier/better. Not having the money to buy everything at once, I've been buying a few parts at a time over the course of the last two months. I understand that if one of the components is faulty, I'm SOL as far as returning products. Here is a summary of what I have purchased (having only RAM and an OS left to buy) as well as a few questions:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($209.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($80.98 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($124.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($92.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 850 Pro Series 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($149.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital BLACK SERIES 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB WINDFORCE Video Card ($369.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Corsair 450D ATX Mid Tower Case ($99.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Corsair Professional 750W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($156.18 @ Newegg)

As far as questions:
1) I've seen on a website or two (cannot remember the source) that the Asus Z97-A does not support liquid cooling....Is this accurate?
2) I've tried researching the Internet, as well as the Mobo User guide, but remain confused. Which SATA Port should I plug the SSD into for greatest speed?
3) The Graphics Card came with two power cords (1x 8-pin PCI-E to Molex, 1x 6-pin PCI-E to Molex), but am wondering: Can I bypass the Molex and just use the PCI-E to PCI-E cords that were supplied with the PSU?
4) As of now, I'm only planning to run the case fans supplied with the Corsair 450D (2x 140mm intakes on the front, 1x 120mm rear for exhaust) and the H100i and included fans.
4a. Is this enough airflow, or do I need to alter/add something?
4b. What would be the best configuration for the H100i? Planning to mount it at the top of the case.
I apologize for the novel, and if my questions are not "worthy." I've tried the Internet and either found nothing, or found conflicting guidance on what to do. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Also open to general advice. I've done a lot of research, but I'm super new to all of this.
