Basic gaming system

Hello,
I am overseas, so I don't have access to some of the low prices normally quoted, but I can ship stuff from HK/Taiwan fairly easily.
I already have most of the stuff I need and a brand new GTS 250 512MB. I was wondering what MOBO and processor would you recommend for a basic gaming system?

Personally I would recommend a MOBO with a 1155 socket with an i5 or i7 2nd generation CPU. AMD's are also good, but I have no experience with them.

why get a GTS 250 at this point?

If you're getting a low end gpu like that, you don't need an i5 or i7. It'll be expensive overkill. Get an i3 at the very most so you're not wasting money. (Although I would suggest reconsidering the gpu option)
