Hello,

I have an old computer and I was thinking I would try to make some use of it and plug it in to my rarely used 32 inch 720p tv. The main usage for this set up would be Pandora on the big stereo we have hooked up to the tv, running movies for my daughter and using XBMC (which I am very new to). They system specs are P4 2.53 ghz, 1.5 gigs of RAM and I'm going to attempt an upgrade to Vista. The problem is the graphics card is too old. What would be a decent inexpensive AGP graphics card to use for this set up? Also, how would I hook up the computer to my stereo (normal red and white cable). Would I need a new sound card? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks!

I would highly recommend against Vista. Vista is known as a RAM hog. 7 would run better.

What video card do you currently have? I have an old Dell PC with a P4 2.4GHz and 1.5GB of RAM and it runs 7 alright. You might also be able to use a PCI graphics card if you can find one cheaper.
