Basic Picture Question

How do you read these time stamps? Here's a picture i have which is time stamped, but i don't get it.. is it 1/19/2003? And does that mean it was the date the photo was taken or processed in a lab?

Looks to be Jan 19, 2003, yes..... Timestamp could be either way.
But, that assumes the date was set correctly on the device.

Likely the date processed in the photo lab, assuming this is an actual paper picture, developed from film. Is there a date on the back of the photo as well?

I suppose there were some cameras, back in the day, that could apply a sort of time stamp to the film that would then be present on the photo itself.

^^ Actually, yeah. Edited my post. 2003 era, timestamp was more likely to be the lab. Timestamps on the film existed, but I don't think it was ever overly commonplace.

Yeah this is a paper photograph, there is nothing on the back except the Kodak printing i believe (can't find the photo at the moment)

Photo labs used to apply a printed timestamp (on the back or in the front margin/border), I have boxes of old photos at home that have both. I don't recall any quite like you linked earlier.
