I'm starting to connect a Seasonic M12II PS to an ASRock Z97 Extreme6 MB.

Surprisingly, the 24 pin cable connector seems to be the same size as the port on the PS, so they won't connect, like trying to connect two females.

Second issue, 20 and 10 pin connectors, but I only see a 20 pin port on the MB.

It's hard to believe such a basic issue as the cable to PS issue.

What do I do with the 10 pin cable connector?

Solution
I count 24pin socket on the MB so the 24pin from your PSU is the one to use. Make sure connection is oriented properly and don't try to force it.
Your MB has 24pin and 8pin sockets and both should be occupied for the system to boot.

Oh sheesh.

That was it. Now to the other 100 cables.

Whoops meant to pick that as solution as the only one I saw first, but both posts are good and helpful, thanks.

Not a problem at all Craig :) Glad we could help.
