Question Basics of constructing a water cooling loop

Hoi!

im after constructing a water cooling loop for once as up till now i've been using AIO coolers and they are a bit meh.. bland

i'd just like to know the basics and the don'ts of building a loop, i know that i need a pump, tubing, cpu block, radiator, possibly a reservoir... but what else should i be concerned about..? screw fittings/sizes etc

• don't mix metals. brass/nickel/copper is fine, steel/aluminium isn't.
• copper/nickel/brass > aluminium. but it's more expensive
• get angled fittings.
• take good measurements beforehands.
• include some draining setup

and well... depends on what you want to know...
but it's not rocket science

It will get more expensive than you thought. Especially angled adapters and fittings cost a lot of money depending on your setup. Maybe consider Barrow-fittings from aliexpress.
