This is a asus zep g15 rog 2022 ga503rm laptop, only few months old, I enabled maximum lifespan mode which supposed to limit battery charging to %60, which it does, okay, but when plugged in the battery percent slowly but surely increases which means it is charging even when myasus sets to limit to %60. I want to stop that because it increases my wear level on the laptop battery as hwinfo shows. I'm paranoid so I have to fix this. Also during the boot time I see orange led lights up means also charging, in that 5-6 seconds of booting to desktop it charges up the damn battery for like %3-4 percent also hurts the battery in long term. I think this have to do something with fast charging. This laptop have that feature on its cover sticker. My ONLY guess that is the problem. So how do I turn off fast charging? There is no such option in BIOS as asus BIOS quite limited. Thanks in advance and god bless

UPDATE: I will try to unplug after shut down and replug in only when reached to the desktop. Perhaps that can help. This is barely 6 months old laptop brand new and wear level of my battery already at 6.2 as hwinfo shows.

Mind you this same wear level indicator jumped around 4.7 to 4.1 few months back so dunno what's wrong with that.

UPDATE: Nope, did not make any difference, I did unplug everything from USBs to my mice and unplug the power cord for a night. Battery was %66, now it is %61, battery is draining even when laptop is turned off, perhaps it needs to be shut down completely? I will try 15 secs of on power button method this night, otherwise, I really don't know what to do, it is a great laptop so far as I also eliminated most of the heat problems I been having for months simply doing a trim on the SSD via disk defraggler. (However BIOS is still cooking itself to death kinda funny at this point)

I will update this thread as soon as I get the results tomorrow, hopefully a good one.

I think problem is finally solved

1.Right after shut down normally: unplug everything except main power cord
2. let it stay like that a night whatever
3. Morning: unplug everything just like before if there any somehow, but this time: unplug power cord as well
4. boot the laptop normally and wait for the laptop to reach desktop
5.quickly plug in power cord
6. plug in USBs if needed

Battery was %61 yesterday, now this morning its still %61, thank god jesus took me months to figure out this mess
