battle field 3 at high

Hey everyone..i just wanted to know whether battlefield 3 will work at high graphics on the given config
Cpu-amd phenom 2 X4 970 Black edition
Gpu-sapphire HD 7770 1gb GDDR 5
Ram-corsair vengance 8gb ddr3

if you want to play bf3 single player then yeah its a possibility. guarenteed it will play medium though.

if you want to play multiplayer your gpu AND cpu might be an issue. 64 player maps kill the cpu. when i play bf3, bf3 uses 5 cores at 70% and above so your slower 4 cores my slow you down then my 2600k. OVERCLOCK!!!! both cpu and gpu and you will be fine for at least medium for both single and multiplayer. high is probably realistic.

I'll probably be playing at 1048x780.

Also I will be playing with like 12 friends online....so will that also tax the CPU and gpu...also i read somewhere that the phenom 2 x4 970 BE is based on a 6 core chip with two cores locked...so theoretically wouldn't i be able to unlock those and use thhem??

Here is my system (Phenom 2 X4 965 @4.31 Ghz with a 7770 @ 1175Mhz core / 1535Mhz memory) running BF3 on near ultra settings at 1080p. It averages 45+ fps on all the maps and very rarely drops below that. It is easily playable.

You could possibly play at 1080p on that system at medium settings, but it might need some configuring to get it right.

Its the parts im planning to buy...i have my exams right now so don't have the time to assemble right now...will do it after like twoo weeks...

I'd go back to the drawing board...a Phenom II is old tech and not the best bet for a new system.
