Okay well i have a dell inspiron 15r with and i72630qm and a nvidia gt525m overclocked but stable doesn't overheat i can play bf3 high/Medium graphic settings i have 4gb OF RAM but IDLE it uses 2gb of ram so i can only play with 2gb of ram so halfway in a game i start to stutter really bad barely playable i know i dont have a strong gpu but i overclocked it really well to work like a gt555m same card except different clocks BTW il write down what my clocks are i used nvidia control panel graphics clock : 800mhz memory clock : 900 proccesor clock : 1600mhz it can run skyrim maxed but no aa and medium high shadows I think i just need more ram

Solution
your logic isn't quite correct, windows will take as much ram as it needs/can, it will then release ram as other programs call for it, i.e. getting rid of the cached 'just in case' items. How much ram is assigned to the GPU, or does it have its own ram, BF3 loves Video memory, so you might need to lower textures a bit.

A GT555M is nothing like a GTX560 by the way, so I'm pretty certain that you just need to lower your settings.

Thank you il test it later i never compared it to the gtx 560 cause desktops are much better of course and thanks for telling me about how windows uses the ram :)
