I've a problem running the battle for middle earth 2. I just bought the game so it's completly new. The installation went well, I started the game and first tried to set up a skirmish battle. When you've selected all the settings to play you start the game, then it begins loading, when the loading is on 97% or someting the game crashes, then I'm back in windows.
This also happends when I want to play in campain mode, the movies before playing in campain are no problem, the game crashes at the moment the playing can begin.
Does someone knows what my problem is and how to solve it?
Many thanks,
Jack

Ok. Windows xp pro, intel pentium 4 2.66 ghz, clockspeed:2.66 ghz, 1.00gb
i don't know what video card i have, don't know how to chek it too..

i just installed all the available patches nrs: 1.04 1.05 and 1.06
it did change things, now i can't get the game started cause before starting it says: ''take care directX 9.0 or higher is installed (but i read that's installed automaticly with the normal game installation), your video card also has to be right (it don't says that but i don't know how to translate it better) and the hardware acceleration at screenconfigurations has to be enabled''

now i also found my videocard: nvidia riva tnt2 model 64/ model 64 pro

i hope someone can help me
many thanks

Ouch... I have no idea how you are able to play BFME on that PC, but OK. The Riva TNT is 10 years out of date and only supports DirectX up to v6. You need at least a Geforce 5000 or better for DX9 support.

I hate to break it to you, but I think it's time for a new PC..

hahah ok problem now i at least know what to do. so it's definetly the videocard where the problem lies? if Geforce 5000 does the job then i'll get a geforce 5000,
thank you very much!

Eh, I don't think they sell those anymore... Besides, your whole PC is out of date, not just the video card.

I already found a videocard that'll work and all further requirements such as mbram the amount of ghz, internal memory etc. etc are good enough for the game so why do you think my pc (with a new videocard) won't run the game?

ok, first i wanna thank you very much cause i'm learning many things here! so it'll probably run slow...that isn't easy to solve if i want to keep this pc right? exept for turning the graphics down..
i think that has to do with mbram or ghz or am i wrong?
