Hello

I consider to buy BF1. After I looked for minimum system requirements, it just freaking me out. It needs an 6600K at minimal. Can my 3470 run BF1 without bottlenecking my RX 480? And is it good enough to upgrade my 3470 to a i3-6100 for BF1? I looked for a video that shows 6100 works better in BF1 than a 3470

Thanks for answering..

Most likely you will be able to maintain 60FPS 99% and the frame drops you do get will be very minor maybe not even noticeable, and never be afraid to ask questions i'm sure everyone will be happy to answer :)

I've done research with game debate and youtube and he should be able to do what I said.

No It Will Not reach Higher Than 45Fps

40fps minimum ?? yes absolutely mate,I have a 3470 with a gtx 970 & havent seen below 45fps at high 1080p.

Your 480 (if you own it yet) is massive massive overkill for 768p monitor by the way.
If you dont own it yet then a rx 470 or even a 1050ti will pretty much max games at that resolution,

I already own 480. What setting do you play? I will not complain about setting I will play, but high setting would be a bonus :)

I cant think of a single game where you cant max graphics settings with a 480 at 768p mate seriously.
& that stands for BF1 aswell - youll run ultra withut any problem whatsoever.

I dont think any settings in BF1 actually affects cpu usage to any extent (the only game that has a real adverse effect on cpu usage when upping graphics settings automatically is GTA V) ,youll be able to run ultra on BF1 with the same fps as youll get at medium if you so wish.

If you're ever struggling to find relevant benchmarks when thinking about buying a game mate consider looking at benches for the skylake i5 6400 - if anything the 3470 will be slightly stronger generally on multithreaded titles (which is 99% of the newer ones)

I have that exact hardware combination and 100hrs on BF1.
The 3470 CPU will bottleneck the 480 I can guarantee you that.
All ultra the CPU will run 100% and the GPU maybe 20%.
You can run 1080p 60Hz in multiplayer and will rarely notice framedrops and stutter.
There will be some, but nothing severe, which would ruin the experience.
For higher resolution the CPU bottleneck will disappear and you can adjust the framerate over the graphic settings. A CPU bottleneck usually cannot be reduced at all, while a GPU bottleneck can easily be reduced.
If you are really looking for perfectly constant smooth >60Hz framerates you'll need a CPU with more than 4 cores.
