So I bought two gtx 660s to sli and I'm getting low fps like 45 or about the same with one gtx 660. Can anyone tell me why btw I'm on Ultra settings
system specs are
32 inch monitor
amd fx 8120
evga 750w modular powersupply
8gb amd ram
Gtx 660s gc edition SLI
Btw sorry about grammer its early

Solution

In bf3 they are similar in performance yes with SINGLE GPU's.

With multi GPU's the overhead kills the amd processors, they cannot feed both cards information fast enough.

What resolution are you playing in?
Battlefield may not run great on ultra settings with a 660 regardless of SLI.
Try turning down the settings and see what happens.

Thanks

Your cpu can't keep up.

You need to overclock it, and even then you will never get the full usage out of both 660's.

You need an i5 to properly use 2 powerful gpu's like that.

I agree, your CPU is holding you back, you need to get a CPU cooler (best one for the price would be a hyper 212 evo ~$30) and overclock your cpu to 4.2GHz+ , or buy a new CPU+Motherboard (i5 would be best), or live with what you have.

Isn't the 8120 eqivalent to the I5 2nd generation and my CPU is at 40% while running BF3 I dont see how thats the problem.
