Battlefield 3 on ultra

Looking to buy a Pc that can play battlefield 3 on ultra with a budget of £700-£850, not bothered about branded Pc's. Custom built pc are my worry as you don't really know what they have done with you and I certainty cannot build one myself. Is there any PCs that can run battlefield 3 on ultra and many others like arma 1-2-3 when it comes out, within that budget even if it is a little of £850 no more than £1000

Any help would be very grateful
 
Pre built running at ultra not in that price bracket. You could get close by buying a system with say good CPU and then adding the Graphics card yourself but if you want to run BF3 on ultra with all the eyecandy your looking at spending nearly your entire budget on the Graphics card alone.
 
What would be the best idea to do, And how much am I looking to spend? And also what do you have? I am am so hyped about getting one so a little wait wont hurt that just a budget if I am to get one right now. But let's say a couple of weeks time when I am paid :)

Issues being you cant OC that CPU though if you dont plan to OC thats not an issue

You would need to check if that case can fit the larger high end graphics cards i linked
I'm assuming you didnt want a monitor etc in that budget if you did thats another £120-ish

You could self build better its not hard or particularly time consuming
 
So if I bought what you have suggested that I am then able to play latest games at the highest settings possible.

Also how hard is it to put in to the PC the graphics card I mean

Very high settings... full ultra with all the AA cranked up and every little bit of eyecandy on and set to the max you really need 2 Graphics cards to get really good (60+) FPS on something like BF3, then you would need a even faster CPU to take advantage of the 2 cards, motherboard to deal with all that, fancy cooling.... the list goes on (as does price).

That setup though is a good solid machine will crank out very high settings would be nice if the CPU was a K series so could be overclocked but some compromises have to be made prebuilt to fit the budget.

There maybe better ones I'm sure other people will post here. :)
 
Thank you very much for your help. I am looking into it all now. They don't have any nvidia graphics card that you linked to me until 15 th of this month. I will be on the pc gaming very soon!!!!

Just wondering if I bought those that you have linked me does this mean I would have to install the other graphics card. Also 'spend the rest of the money on HDD and Peripherals' which of those would you recommend!

WillBaker, most of the suggestions from other uses will mean building the PC yourself, which you said you don't want to do.

Although it is much easier than you think (I would personally recommend it) I will go ahead and assume you still don't want to go down that route. You wont be able to find a prebuild PC (ie Dell, Acer, e.c.) that will run BF3 on ultra in your budget. The only option really is:
Custom PCs, (if you are not considering building it yourself) I think are your only option, and will give you significantly better performance than companies like Dell.

I just went on to pcspecialist.co.uk and configured a PC that will run BF3 on ultra for £840:

intel core i5 3450
Asus P8-Z77-V LX
8GB RAM
Nvidia GTX 570
500GB HDD
DVDRW drive
Corsair (very good quality) 650W power supply
Windows 7 64 bit home premium.

to answer your question regarding how easy is it to install a graphics card: very easy. the only tool you need is a screwdriver, and you simply take off the side panel, slot and screw in the card into the top/main slot and boot it up! (then installing the graphics card software drivers)
 


The GPU is simple to install as stated by jwk3 and the only other thing you need to do is connect the 6-pin power connectors.


You could also look for some tutorials if needed.

As for the HDD or SSD it comes down to how much you want to spend.
(~£150)High Budget=High capacity SSD
(~£100)Medium Budget=Hybrid HDD OR High Performance HDD
(~£70)Low Budget=Performance HDD.

companies like "scan.co.uk"

have a builder section where you choose what you want and they will build it, deliver it and set it up for you to make sure its working
