Question Battlefield 3 poor performance

Till recently i've runned BF3 at an over 80 fps, but now i run it at like 40-45 fps. Ro-installed, didn't worked, disabled overlay, no fix.
Got an I5-4690k, GTX 1070 8GB, 16 GB RAM, Windows 10. It can easily perform well on BF3, yet it started with FPS problems. How can i fix this?

I would roll back a driver or two for the GTX 1070 and see how it works. I know were told get latest driver to stay current but as our cards get replaced by the newer generations the newer drivers are fine tuned to what's new out there ,RTX 3000'a and the new RTX 4000's. Sure the older cards can use the new drivers but sometimes at the cost of performance.

Test see if it helps. If not go back to current driver.

Last time I delt with this was with a GTX 670 and the at the time GTX 1070 / 1080 were just released and the GTX 670 did ok in a spare computer gaming but I put the latest drives on at the time and went to snails pace gameplay.

Put the old driver back on and back to normal. That's when I went Hmmm I see what's going on. YMMY
